THINGS THAT BELONG TO US
Always love this verse ~ 1 Corinthians 2:9 ~
~ 1 Corinthians 2:9 ~
But as IT IS WRITTEN: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has PREPARED for those who LOVE HIM.
Even more when Paul goes on to write in 1 Corinthians 2:10-16
~ 1 Corinthians 2:10-16 ~
10 BUT GOD has REVEALED them to us THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. For the Spirit searches ALL THINGS, yes, the DEEP THINGS of God.
11 For what man KNOWS the things of a man EXCEPT the spirit of man which is in him? Even so no one KNOWS THE THINGS OF GOD EXCEPT the SPIRIT OF GOD.
12 NOW we have RECEIVED, not the spirit of the world, but the SPIRIT who is from God, that we MIGHT KNOW the things that have been FREELY given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing SPIRITUAL THINGS with SPIRITUAL.
14 But the natural man DOES NOT RECEIVE the THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD, for they are FOOLISHNESS to him; nor can he KNOW them, because they are SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED.
15 But he who is SPIRITUAL JUDGES ALL THINGS, yet he himself is RIGHTLY JUDGED BY NO ONE.
16 For “who has KNOWN the MIND OF THE LORD that he may INSTRUCT Him?” But we have the MIND OF CHRIST.
Paul tells us through these scriptures what is REVEALED to us BELONGS TO US. May the SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION COME UPON us that we may KNOW and WALK INTO ALL THE THINGS that He has PREPARED for us as we continue to LOVE HIM and FEAR THE LORD.
~ Ephesians 1:15-22 ~
15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the LORD JESUS and your love for all the saints,
16 DO NOT CEASE to GIVE THANKS for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 that the GOD of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Father of glory, may give to you the SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION IN the KNOWLEDGE of HIM,
18 the EYES OF YOUR UNDERSTANDING BEING ENLIGHTENED; that you may KNOW what is the HOPE OF HIS CALLING, what are the RICHES of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the EXCEEDING GREATNESS of HIS POWR toward us who believe, according to the WORKING OF HIS MIGHTY POWER
20 which He WORKED IN CHRIST when He RAISED HIM from the dead and SEATED HIM at HIS RIGHT HAND in the heavenly places,
21 FAR ABOVE ALL principality and power and might and dominion, and EVERY NAME that is NAMED, NOT ONLY in this age BUT ALSO in that which is to come.
22 AND HE PUT ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET, and GAVE HIM to be HEAD over all things to the church,
23 which is HIS BODY, the fullness of HIM who FILLS ALL IN ALL.
~Colossians 1:9-23 ~
9 For this reason we also, since the day we HEARD it, DO NOT CEASE to pray for you, and to ask that you may be FILLED with the KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL in ALL WISDOM and SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING;
10 that you may WALK WORTHY OF THE LORD, FULLY PLEASING HIM, being FRUITFUL in EVERY GOOD WORK and INCREASING in the knowledge of God;
11 STRENGTHENED WITH ALL MIGHT, according to HIS GLORIOUS POWER, for ALL PATIENCE and LONGSUFFERING WITH JOY;
12 GIVING THANKS to the Father who has QUALIFIED US to be PARTAKERS of the INHERITANCE of the saints IN THE LIGHT.
13 HE HAS DELIVERED US from the power of darkness and CONVEYED US into the kingdom of the SON OF HIS LOVE,
14 in whom we have REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins.
15 HE is the IMAGE of the invisible God, the FIRST-BORN over all creation.
16 For BY HIM ALL THINGS were CREATED that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. ALL THINGS were created THROUGH HIM and FOR HIM.
17 And He is before ALL THINGS, and IN HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST.
18 And He is the HEAD of the body, THE CHURCH, who is the beginning, the FIRSTBORN from the dead, that in ALL THINGS HE may have the PREMINENCE.
19 For it PLEASED THE FATHER that IN HIM ALL THE FULLNESS should DWELL,
20 and BY HIM to RECONCILE ALL THINGS TO HIMSELF, BY HIM, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having MADE PEACE through THE BLOOD OF HIS CROSS.
21 And you, who once were ALIENATED and enemies in your mind by WICKED WORKS, YET NOW HE HAS RECONCILED
22 in the body of His flesh through death, TO PRESENT YOU HOLY, and BLAMELESS, and ABOVE REPROACH in His sight —
23 if indeed you CONTINUE IN THE FAITH, GROUNDED and STEADFAST, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was PREACHED to every creature under heaven of which I Paul BECAME a minister.
