Worship goes beyond songs

Worship goes beyond songs, is not concert, is not noise, is not hype. Worship is BEHOLDING JESUS in the revelation of HIM as the Holy Spirit QUICKENS and MAKES ALIVE the PRESENT REALITY of the face of Jesus to us. That’s why Jesus said in the last days, the FATHER SEEKS TRUE WORSHIPPERS who worship HIM IN SPIRIT and IN TRUTH. Jesus is THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. To worship Him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH is to worship Him in that reality of the face of Jesus as the Holy Spirit QUICKENS us from within and bring forth that revelation quickened in our hearts.

It is like the Holy Spirit coming as the wind breathing afresh the YAH of God upon us, the RUACH of God, the FRESH BREATH of God into our being and within that wind lies that FRESH BREATH of God. Our eyes are opened, our spirits are quickened in the revelation of who Jesus is as the Holy Spirit comes to us and upon us and quickening within us. We see Him FACE TO FACE. The Holy Spirit BREATHES INTIMACY into us as we SEEK HIM DEEPER. He creates a heard that is ready and wired to go DEEPER in Him, only if we allow Him and YIELD TO HIM.

Jesus said in John 3 we must be BORN AGAIN. Being BORN AGAIN is receiving the HOLY SPIRIT and He puts that YAH of God, the RUACH of God, the FRESH BREATH of God into our being. We become BORN AGAIN with His nature. And as we CONSECRATE ourselves and SET APART by dying to the old nature, the Holy Spirit CIRCUMCISED us within and more and more of our old nature is being stripped away, and more of HIS DIVINE NATURE is PUT ON. That’s why Paul says in Ephesians put on the NEW MAN, the NEW DIVINE NATURE in Christ.

Just as we cannot see where the wind comes, and where it goes, we can’t see the deep work of the Holy Spirit producing the new birth in us. But as we become willing to be open and yield to the Holy Spirit, we begin to encounter and experience this deep work of the Holy Spirit working within us birthing forth this new birth, because God makes us a SPIRIT BEING. Just as PEACE we can’t see, but we can encounter it by sensing that presence of the PEACE that comes upon us and rising within us that fills our being all in all, the PEACE that makes us complete, lacking nothing.

* JOHN 3:1-21 *

1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

2 This man came to Jesus by might and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do UNLESS GOD IS WITH HIM.”

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “MOST ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, UNLESS ONE IS BORN AGAIN, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

5 Jesus answered, “MOST ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, UNLESS ONE IS BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT, HE CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

6 “That which is BORN of the flesh is flesh, and that which is BORN of the SPIRIT is SPIRIT.

7 “Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be BORN AGAIN.’

8 “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes,

So is everyone who is BORN OF THE SPIRIT.”

9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”

10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and DO NOT KNOW these things?

11 “Most assuredly, I say to you. WE speak what WE KNOW and TESTIFY what WE gave seen, and you do not receive OUR WITNESS.

12 “If I have told you earthly things and YOU DO NOT BELIEVE, how will you BELIEVE if I tell you HEAVENLY things?

13 “No one has ascended to heaven but He who CAME DOWN from heaven, that is the SON OF MAN who is in heaven.

14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the SON OF MAN be LIFTED UP,

15 “that whoever BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE.

16 “FOR GOD SO LOVED the world that HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever BELIEVES IN HIM should not perish BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world THROUGH HIM might be SAVED.

18 “He who BELIEVES IN HIM is not condemned; but he DOES NOT BELIEVE is CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he HAS NOT BELIEVED in the NAME of the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

19 “And this is the condemnation, that the LIGHT has come into the world, and men LOVED DARKNESS rather than LIGHT, because their deeds were evil

20 “For everyone practicing evil HATES THE LIGHT and DOES NOT COME into the LIGHT, lest his deeds should be exposed.

21 But he who DOES THE TRUTH COMES TO THE LIGHT, that his deeds may be CLEARLY SEEN, that they have been DONE IN GOD.”

Worship is IN SPIRIT and IN TRUTH, because God is SPIRIT. We draw near in worship when the revelation of Jesus is born in our hearts. Then when we worship, worship becomes a realm of REALITY. Worship becomes PURPOSE. Worship becomes REALITY. Without the dimension of SPIRIT and the TRUTH which is the REVELATION of the WORD, worship becomes empty because our natural mind, the head knowledge cannot understand worship.

Worship is GIVE HIM A DRINK.

Out of our INNERMOST BEING shall FLOW OUT RIVERS of LIVING WATERS.

How does these rivers FLOW OUT from our INNERMOST being? When we ABIDE in the daily communion with the HOLY SPIRIT, as we become willing to YIELD TO HIM, He gives us the UTTERANCE and QUICKENING that causes these rivers to flow out (John 4:1-26)

* JOHN 4:1-26 *

1 Therefore, when the LORD knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus MADE and BAPTIZED MORE disciples than John

2 (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples),

3 He LEFT Judea and DEPARTED AGAIN to Galilee.

4 But He NEEDED TO GO THROUGH Samaria.

5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, BEING WEARIED from His journey, SAT thus BY THE WELL. IT WAS ABOUT THE SIXTH HOUR.

7 A woman of Samaria came to DRAW WATER. Jesus said to her, “GIVE ME A DRINK.”

8 For His disciples had gone awya into the city to buy food.

9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, BEING A JEW, ASK A DRINK from me, a Samaritan woman?” For JEWS HAVE NO DEALINGS with Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said to her, “IF YOU KNEW THE GIFT OF GOD, and WHO IT IS who says to you, ‘GIVE ME A DRINK,’ you would HAVE ASKED HIM, and He would HAVE GIVEN YOU LIVING WATER.”

11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have NOTHING TO DRAW WITH, and the WELL IS DEEP. Where then do You get THAT LIVING WATER?

12 “Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”

13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever DRINKS OF THIS WATER will THIRST again.

14 “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall GIVE him will NEVER THIRST. But the WATER that I shall GIVE him WILL BECOME IN HIM A FOUNTAIN OF WATER SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE.”

15 The woman said to Him, “SIR, GIVE ME THIS WATER, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Go, CALL YOUR HUSBAND, and COME HERE.”

17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband.’

18 “for you have had FIVE HUSBANDS, and the one whom you now have is NOT YOUR HUSBAND; in that you spoke truly.”

19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a PROPHET.

20 “Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”

21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, BELIEVE ME, THE HOUR IS COMING when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 “You worship what you do not know; we KNOW what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.

23 “But THE HOUR IS COMING, AND NOW IS, when TRUE WORSHIPERS will worship the Father in SPIRIT AND TRUTH; for the Father is SEEKING SUCH to WORSHIP Him.

24 “GOD IS SPIRIT, and those who worship Him MUST WORSHIP in SPIRIT AND TRUTH.”

25 The woman said to Him. “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will TELL US ALL THINGS.”

26 Jesus said to her, “I WHO SPEAK TO YOU AM HE.”

Jesus said to the woman, “I WHO SPEAK TO YOU AM HE”. That’s what worship is. The Holy Spirit comes to testify Jesus that HE WHO SPEAK TO US IS HE. He comes to reveal who HE IS. The alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the LAMB OF GOD, the ONE who was, who is and is to come. The LION OF JUDAH. The LORD OF HOSTS. The KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. THE ONE WHO IS WORTHY OF IT ALL. THE ONE WHO THROUGH IT ALL IS FAITHFUL. THE ONE WHO IS COMING FOR HIS REMNANT.

He comes to REVEAL WHO HE IS.

THE KING OF GLORY.

HE comes to REVEAL WHO HE IS TO YOU.

Jesus COMES PERSONALLY TO US, because HE COMES TO US IN PERSON.

Through it all, above all, HE IS GOOD. There is no one else like Him. There is no greater love than the love that He loves us. No one will love us more than He did, for the CROSS SPEAKS IT ALL.
